Sony Xperia Z1 pictures show potential bending issue
I know curved smartphones seem to be the thing to do right now, but only when it’s intentional and comes that way from the manufacturer. In the case of Sony’s Xperia Z1, well, let’s just say it’s users are a little bent out of shape right now. Taking to the forums, people are posting pictures of the warped phones that appear to be completely legitimate. The lead photo shows one bent upwards on both the top and bottom almost mimicking the new LG G Flex. Here a few more pictures from other users. Click them for larger images.
Needless to say if these pictures are to be believed Sony may have a big problem on their hands. I am not sure if all these people are sitting on their phones or what exactly could be causing the issue. The aluminum it is made of is a soft metal, but other phones made out of the same material have not really suffered the same problem over the years. Let’s just hope the engineers over in their labs are taking note of this for their future phone designs. I personally have not had the opportunity to use one, but this issue aside all I have heard was good things about this phone.

It is a relatively common problem with the xperia Z1. If you keep it in a plastic(or
other material that doesn’t conduct heat) case, heat cannot escape so
the phone gets hot. The Z1’s frame is made out of aluminum while the case is glass.
Metal changes length more than glass when exposed to heat so the phone
bends.
I have never had my phone in pocket ever and I’ve had my phone for only a month and with in the space of 5 minutes my phone has bent a
