Ya I know it’s dick freezingly cold in Philly right now but who gives a shit? Get off your asses and go see some shows this weekend.
Friday the 20th: Ecstatic Vision @ Kung Fu Necktie
As you can tell from the video these dudes are fucking heavy, psych rock. I’d say more but I think that pretty well sums it up. They’re releasing a record soon, I’m sure it will be fairly face melting, so check them out.
Friday the 20th: St. James & The Apostles @ The North Star
You guys already know how I feel about St. James & The Apostles. It’s original, heavy, electric organ rock… and they’re playing at The North Star, which is one of the best sounding rooms in town. You can’t get much better than that.
Saturday the 21st Mark Lanky @ Ortliebs
Mark Lanky plays low, low folk. He’s got a hell of a baritone thing going on and his songs will haunt your soul.
