Philly Concert Picks March 12th – 15th
Thursday March 12th: Lucero @ World Cafe Wilmington
Ya I know it’s not technically in Philly but Lucero is a god damn good live band so it’s worth the trip down to Delaware.
Saturday March 14th: Red Means Run @ The Fire
It’s been awhile since I’ve ventured out to The Fire, but for what it is, it’s a pretty good sounding room and the beer is cheap. I don’t know much about the other bands but Red Means Run is a fucking solid roots rock act and they don’t disappoint. If you missed them a few weeks back at Bourbon and Branch don’t make the same mistake again.
Sunday March 15th: Ross Bellenoit & Alec Stewart @ Bourbon and Branch
Bourbon and Branch may be my favorite venue in Northern Libs, the sound is always excellent and it’s just a classy room overall. I’ve been a fan of Alec Stewart for quite some time now. His songs have a heady and unusual quality to them that’s very original. Ross Bellenoit may very well be in 10 bands, that could be an exaggeration but every time I see him he’s playing with someone else and it’s always good. They’re two of Philly’s finest so don’t miss this one.
