Log Me In axes free accounts, says to log out or pay up

If you are a person who sometimes needs the ability to access a computer remotely from a mobile device and are also a customer of LogMeIn, there are some changes that have been announced that you will need to be ready for. Namely that their free accounts are being ditched, and they are giving customers only a week to make the transition either to a paid account, or to leave the service and sign up with one of their competitors. Users of Android and iOS who purchased the app before it was made available for free are said to receive a “significant” discount while being moved into the now subscription based service however. While only seven days to make a decision is not much time, the clock doesn’t start ticking down until the next time you log in. So if you haven’t logged in the last few days and can hold off a little while longer you can buy yourself a bit more time to find a new provider or save up some money to keep your current account up and running. For those planning on leaving or others who are interested in the concept of a remote desktop client but aren’t sure where to turn, the good news is there are lots of other options. The top three I hear the most about are TeamViewer, Splashtop, and Chrome Remote Desktop. But there are a plethora of other options out there too.
